Vicky (Kimmel) Shackelford was born in Des Moines, IA on Nov. 24, 1969, to Larry and Pat Kimmel, and passed away on July 21, 2025. She was a graduate of East High School in Des Moines Ia, and took a job with Colorfx printing, a position she would hold for 38 years of dedicated service. She completed numerous continuing education courses to improve her understanding and abilities in her chosen career. She was blessed with the birth of her daughter, Shelby, in 1992, and met her future husband, Roy, in 2008. They were married on May 31, 2009, when she gained not only a husband, but 3 bonus children whom she loved very much. She was an avid fan of professional wrestling, and cherished family gatherings with children and grandchildren, where she could enjoy her passion for photography. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law Keith Williams, and is survived by her husband Roy, her children Shelby Sly, Rachel (Josh) Bernard, Aaron (Amanda) Clayton and Rebecca (Steve) Miller, her grandchildren Charlotte, Lauren, Abigail and Connor Miller, Cameron Clarkin and Oliver Clayton, and Piper and Dexter Bernard, and siblings Barb (Allen) Davis, Debbie (Bryan) Dietrich, Donna (John) Williams, Donnie (Dee) Kimmel, LeRoy Kimmel, Joann Kimmel, Tammy CortesFlores, Pete (Shelly) Kimmel, Melody (John) Kimmel-Walter, Sisters-in-law Kathy (Jerry) Musser and Teresa (Dan) Perry, Mark Sly, many nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends, all of whom she loved, and her favorite grandpuppies Chance and Athena. The family is planning a celebration of life ceremony at a later time, with date and details yet to be determined.
