Torrence Samuel Avant, 35, of Marion, passed away after a brave battle of heart failure Friday afternoon, July 29, 2022 at his home. He was surrounded by his girls. Torrence was born August 10, 1986 in Chicago, Illinois. Torrence attended Harper High School. He lived in Cook County for much of his life, but moved to Iowa so he could pursue other opportunities. He loved spending his time competing in anything imaginable, especially Basketball and Maden. He later met the love of his life, Kendra and step-daughter Brooklynn. The two of them later welcomed their baby girl, Annabella Lynn. Torrence will be greatly missed by his partner, Kendra Griffin; daughters, Brooklynn and Annabella; Sister, Lakeisha (Erving Willis); Niece, Rebecca; Nephew, Devante; and every person that had the pleasure of meeting him. Torrence is proceeded in death by his mother, grandmother, and his uncles. No official arrangements are being held per his last wishes.
