Theresa (Toni) Williams, 91, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 21, 2020. She was born November 16, 1928 in Des Moines, Iowa to Henry and Edith Boyle. She had 4 siblings and spent much of her childhood in Burlington, Iowa. Theresa' first job was in Washington D.C. working for the FBI, where she met her husband, Joe Williams. As their family grew, Theresa was a true home-maker in every sense of the word. She grew her own vegetables and canned them for later use, made her own jam from berries the children picked, sewed clothes for the family, baked fabulous cakes, cookies, and pies, served as a Girl Scout Leader, all while raising 6 children and running the household. Her home cooked meals were delicious and her recipes are treasured by the family. She was an excellent example of a loving wife and mother. Theresa had mountains of patience and she was full of joy. After the children left home, she enjoyed quilting and won several awards for her work at local fairs. Theresa was an avid reader of murder mysteries and very quick at mathematics. She had a sense of adventure and loved to travel with friends and family. In her nursing home, she was known for her singing and outgoing personality that touched so many people. Theresa is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Williams and her son, Robert Williams. She is survived by her 5 other children, Jeannie, Nancy, Dennis, Mary Lou, and Joe, 6 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.
