After a long battle with brain cancer, Theodore Roosevelt Lindsey III, lovingly known as "Teddy" by his wife, 45, of Iowa City, Iowa, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2026 @ 11:15 PM and pronounced after midnight.

Born December 12, 1980, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, Teddy lived a life defined by love, dedication, and unwavering devotion to his family and friends. He was known for his kind heart, strong character, generous spirit, and willingness to help anyone in need. His presence brought comfort, laughter, and strength to those fortunate enough to know him.

Teddy dedicated every waking minute to his wife, children, family and friends. He found great joy in spending time outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. Whether casting a line in the water, sitting quietly in the woods, or gathering with loved ones, he appreciated life's simple blessings. His stories, infectious laughter, and genuine love for others left a lasting impression that will never be forgotten.

Above all else, Teddy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. His greatest pride was the family he loved so deeply.

He is survived by his loving wife Martina Lindsey and family; his children by blood or not, Ashley, Harmony, Harper, Krystna, Marcelino, Josh, William, Edmund and Jeremy; his cherished grandchildren, Meredith and Hazel; his father Theodore Lindsey Jr; his younger brother Tim Lindsey, wife Jennifer, children Brooklyn, Lucas and Noah; his baby brother Shannon Lindsey, wife Tralanda and son Jayce; his sister Ann Gonzalez and husband Andrew; Adopted brother Matthew Gragg, wife Nicole and children; Best friends Toby and Kyla Daws; along with many other family members and friends who will forever treasure the memories they shared with him.

A memorial service celebrating Teddy's life will be announced at a later date. All family and friends will be welcomed to attend in honoring his memory and the love he shared with so many.

Though Teddy is no longer with us in person, his legacy lives on in the hearts of those who loved him. His love, laughter, and the countless memories he created will remain with us forever.
