Theodore 'Ted' Lee Klein, 65, of Waterloo, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, Iowa. Ted was born March 20, 1957 in Waterloo to Max E. Klein Sr. and Muretta 'Metzi' (Bohn) Klein. He grew up racing motocross and passed his love of riding and adventures to his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his children, Phil (Dawn) Powers of Denver, Iowa; Beth (Scott) Schellhorn of Tripoli, Iowa; Jamie (Gerald) Klein of Larkspur, Colorado; Robert (Whitney) Klein of Sheldahl, Iowa. His siblings Cindy (Dan) Ferris of Waterloo, Iowa; Jeannie (Jack) Steffen of Reinbeck, Iowa; Max Jr. (Margaret) Klein of Waterloo, Iowa; Pam (Keith) Hansen of Burr Oak, Iowa. 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents and grandson Grant Schellhorn. The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a date in the near future.
