Rose Herselius passed away on Aug 12, 2023, at 85 years of age at Pine Acres nursing home in West Des Moines, IA. She was born to Milton and Doris Woody as the youngest of 3 children on Jan 5th, 1938. Over her life Rose came to know and love her God Jehovah and was best known for her activities with the Walnut Creek congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Rose held a variety of jobs including being a prison guard in Alaska for many years and a School Bus driver in West Des Moines. Rose was preceded in death by her parents Milton and Doris Woody, her siblings Hugh and Ken Woody, and her sons Rick and Daniel (Danny) Herselius and her beloved daughter Whitney Robin Herselius. Rose was also part of a large extended family from her congregation who supported each other over the years, building friendships that were 'closer than a brother' (Prov 18:24). We look forward to seeing Rose again in the Bible's promise of the resurrection. Services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m., Saturday September 2nd, 2023, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1385 Buffalo Rd., West Des Moines, IA 50325 and on Zoom.
