Robert W. Leitzinger, 70, of Urbandale, Iowa, passed away on March 15, 2026. Bob was born in Seattle, Washington to William and Joyce (Halligan) Leitzinger on November 21, 1955. Bob married Rita Engler in 1980, and they made their home in Norwalk, Iowa. They later divorced and Bob then moved to Indianola. Bob spent his career in sales with Montgomery Ward, Noble Ford, and Bass Pro Shops. He loved his customers and treated them with utmost respect. Bob's biggest passion, outside of family, was his love of the outdoors. Hunting, fishing, and archery were where he spent most of his free time. Whether in a tree stand or an archery meet, he was in his element. Bob is survived by his daughter, Maggie (Mike) Spurgin and his son, Bryan (Katie) Leitzinger. His five grandchildren, Jersie, Reid, and Shelby Spurgin and Aiden and Reagan Leitzinger. His former wife, Rita Leitzinger. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Jack Riley. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill Leitzinger and Joyce and Jim Tharp. His sister, Susan Riley and his brother, Tim Leitzinger. A private family service will be held at a later time. Bob will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, his dedication to family and the many memories shared with those who knew him.
