Rebecca “Becky” Wachendorf passed away peacefully at home on June 29, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.

Becky was born and raised in Puyallup, Washington, where she spent her childhood before making Iowa her home. In 2000, she moved to Stanwood, Iowa, where she became a cherished member of the community and built countless lifelong friendships.

On November 11, 1998, Becky married the love of her life, Mike Wachendorf, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together they built a life centered on family, love, and supporting one another through every season.

Above all else, Becky was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Mike Wachendorf; her children, Donny (Sydney) Wachendorf, Andrea Wachendorf, Alexandra Wachendorf, and Dylan Wachendorf; and her treasured grandchildren, Marlie Wachendorf and Grayson Wachendorf, who brought her immeasurable joy.

She is also survived by her siblings: Rich Hoffman, Chris Hoffman, Theresa Griesbach, Sarah Hayden, Gina Arnold, and Mike Hoffman, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss deeply.

Becky was known for her generous heart and dedication to her community. She rarely missed an opportunity to support those around her and was always willing to lend a helping hand. She loved cheering on her favorite teams—the Seattle Seahawks and the Iowa Hawkeyes—but nothing compared to the pride she felt watching her children compete in their sporting events. Whether in the stands, on the sidelines, or celebrating after the game, Becky was always their biggest fan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Verna (Grimm) Hoffman, and her brothers, Dan Hoffman and Steve Hoffman.

A Celebration of Life honoring Becky’s life will be held on Friday, August 14, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at PromiseLand Winery in Guttenberg, Iowa. Family and friends are invited to gather to share memories, celebrate her life, and honor the love she gave so freely.

Though her presence will be deeply missed, Becky’s compassion, strength, and unconditional love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
