Peggy Barger, 61, of Cedar Rapids, passed away, Sunday, Feb. 6th, 2022 at her home surrounded by loved ones. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Peggy was born August 26, 1960, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of James and Barbara Pierce. Peggy was united in marriage to Kent Duby September 1976. Two children were born from this union. Peggy married her present husband Gordon Barger July 7, 2001. Survivors include her husband, Gordon Barger, of Cedar Rapids; children Tanya (Ray) Cross, Kenyon (Monica) Smith and step children Travis Barger, Molly Barger, Mandy Barger and Jonah Barger; 12 grandchildren; sisters Roxanne (Paul) Rundle, Dawn Pierce and brothers Chuck Pierce, Randy (Sue) Pierce and Danny (Melissa) Pierce; and many nieces and nephews. Peggy was such a strong woman. She faced each obstacle and illness head on and was a fighter till the very end. She loved her family very much and will be greatly missed. The family appreciates the care and support from Hospice House of Mercy.
