Monica Jean (Junkman) Reinart passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at Thomas Rest Haven in Coon Rapids, IA, after spending the day surrounded by her loved ones. 

Monica was born on August 22, 1952, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Dodge, IA, to Herbert and Waneta (Van Scoy) Junkman. 

Post High School, Monica obtained her LPN license and spent a life enjoying taking care of others. Monica loved to laugh and make jokes, watch horror movies, and had a deep love of all animals.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, and her beloved cat Callie.

Preceded in Death are Monica’s parents, Herb and Waneta, and siblings: Terri, Jerry, Kim, Linda, and a set of twins who died shortly after birth.

A Celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 14, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the American Legion in Glidden, IA.
