Obituary

Mary Linda Crocheck - Kathman, 72, of Boone, Iowa passed away Wednesday, June 14 th in Boone, Iowa. The funeral service will be held at Boone First Assembly of God (1201 Noble Hills Pl.) In Boone on Saturday, July 8 th at 10:00 A.M. Her burial to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Linda was born February 15 th , 1951, in Des Moines, Iowa to Robert and Mary Crocheck. They later moved to the Boone community where Mary Linda resided with her family. Mary Linda went on to work as a printer at Heinrichs Envelope in Boone, IA for 15 years. She then went on to become a security guard for USDA in Ames, IA and retired from them in 2005. Mary Linda was preceded in death by her husband Delbert Kathman, her parents Robert and Mary Crocheck, 3 brothers Joseph, Robert, and David and her sister Patricia Gatewood. She is survived by her daughters Deana, Shannie, and KC. Son-in-Laws David and Michael, and her Sons D.J. and Mike. Daughter-in-Law Laura. Linda is also survived by her brothers Larry and Raymond Crocheck, and her sister Kate Tyree. Her surviving Grandchildren are Jessie, Eric, Alex, Mykell, Jacob, Faith, Davey, Lane, Garrett, Morgan, Jolynn, Jaidin, and her foster granddaughter Amanda Walton (pookie). As well as 5 great grandchildren, Sophia, Greyson, Rowan, Zariah, and Zahkious. Mary Linda's hobbies included baking, horseback riding, slow pitch softball, and gambling. Most of her joy came from attending her children and grandchildren's sporting, and extra-curricular events. She was blessed to have been married to her one true love, Delbert Kathman, whom she is now reunited with. She was a great friend to many (especially Collette), who will be loved and missed by all who knew her.
