Margarita Marie Santiago-Popovski was born on March 14, 1987, to Luis Raul Santiago and Carmen Delores Soto in Newark, New Jersey. She was educated and obtained her General Education Diploma. Margarita grew up travelling back and forth between Chicago, Illinois and Des Moines, Iowa. After school, she worked many jobs that provided on-the-job training. Margarita was a hard worker throughout the years. Margarita loved music and dancing! Her favorite genres were R&B and Hip-Hop. Margarita was very fashionable and stylish. She was a very beautiful woman who enjoyed shopping and dressing up. Margarita was her grandmother's namesake! She had a good relationship with her. Margarita practiced her faith as she attended church with her grandmother. She was a reserved lady who kept to herself for the most part. Margarita knew how to have fun and was full of so much joy! Margarita always kept her happy-go-lucky attitude. Most of all, Margarita was a wonderful mother who loved her children endlessly. Margarita Marie Santiago-Popovski passed away on June 5, 2025. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Margarita Soto and father, Luis Santiago. Those left to cherish her in memory are her four children; mother; siblings; cousins and a host of extended family and friends.
