Marcia Sue Lashbrook, 72, of Cedar Rapids, IA, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2024. Born on July 14, 1952, to Marcel and Shirley Worthen, Marcia lived a life filled with thoughtful and selfless generosity toward those she loved. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth G. Lashbrook; her children, Aaron Lashbrook of Cedar Rapids, Christina and Joseph Newton of Cedar Rapids, and Daniell and Evan Wilcox of Owings, MD; and her beloved granddaughter, Helen Wilcox. Marcia is also survived by her sister, Susan Worthen, niece Eleanor Richfield, and nephew Eddie Richfield. Marcia will be fondly remembered for her unwavering love of the Iowa Hawkeyes, her deep affection for animals, and her joyful spirit in giving gifts that made others feel special. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Marcia's memory to the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, 315 18th Avenue, Hiawatha, IA 52233, or to the Cedar Valley Humane Society.
