In loving memory of Marcelline (Marcie) Jane Harvey, 92, lifelong resident of Marshalltown, Iowa, who passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 28, 2026. Marcie was born on January 3, 1934, in Marshalltown to Richard and Delora Nutter, proprietors of Nutter's Grocery Store, a beloved neighborhood fixture for many years. Marcie graduated from Marshalltown High School, Class of 1952, and began working as a switchboard operator at Fisher Controls to support her husband, Dr. Elwood "Woody" Harvey, as he completed dental school. On August 20, 1955, Marcie and Woody were married, beginning a partnership that lasted 57 years. Together, they raised three children. Marcie enjoyed cooking, crafts, gardening, sewing, traveling, shopping, antiquing, and volunteered with numerous community organizations, including the Assistance League, 20th Century Club, St. Rita's, YWCA, Meals on Wheels, and House of Compassion. She was also an active member of Elmwood Country Club and a lifelong parishioner of St. Mary Church. Marcie was preceded in death by her husband, sister Collette, brother John, and parents. She is survived by her three children, Pamela Hoglan, Susan Silengo, and Grant (Kathy) Harvey, as well as four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
