Lynn Zupan, 82, of Des Moines, passed away peacefully at home in Des Moines, Iowa, on August 31, 2026.

Born on August 25, 1944, in Des Moines, Iowa, Lynn spent his life closely connected to the community where he was raised. He grew up in Des Moines and was educated in the Des Moines Public Schools, later graduating from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1963. Those early roots remained an important part of the life he built.

Lynn was the owner and operator of Heating and Cooling by Lynn Zupan, a role that reflected his dedication and steady work over the years. He was also someone who enjoyed fishing, a simple pleasure that brought him happiness.

Above all, Lynn will be remembered by those who knew and loved him best. He is survived by his wife, Carole Zupan. He also leaves his son, Jim Zupan (Jennifer); his daughters, Denise Richardson and Elizabeth Gleason (Eric); 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Carol Vokes, and her husband, Larry, and by his brother, Greg Zupan. His family was a central part of his life, and his memory will remain with them in the stories they share and the love they continue to carry forward.

Lynn was preceded in death by his parents, Maxine and George Zupan, and by his sister, Carla Marchbanks.

He will be remembered with love, gratitude, and affection by all who were fortunate to know him.
