Lori Jane Beverly, 67, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025. Lori was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on January 13, 1958, to Dale Slocum and Georgia Streeter. She attended Jefferson High School, where she enjoyed her time on the cheerleading squad and graduated in 1976. In her adult life, she moved to Texas, where she met the love of her life, her husband Brad. Over the years, Lori held many jobs in both accounting and customer service, with her fondest memories being those of her time at Lone Star Park. In her spare time, Lori enjoyed knitting, cross-stitching, doing puzzles with her grandchildren, watching General Hospital, taking road trips, finding roadside oddities, and playing cards and trivia games. She was an avid music fan and loved Willie Nelson and The Beatles. Lori is survived by her mother, Georgia Carter; her children, Danielle (Daniel) Stoker and Jessica (Richard) Davidson; grandchildren, Nicolas, Shayna, Christopher, Rhiana, Juniper, Seth, and Harley; great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Henry, and Emma; siblings, Tammy, Jeff (April), Greg, and Andria (Kent); and stepmother, Mary Jo, as well as many other extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Brad, and her father, Dale "Mike" Slocum. Lori will be fondly remembered for her generous spirit, feisty attitude, and ability to always make something out of nothing. Her love and laughter will be missed by all who knew her. At this time, there will be no services held. The family will be planning a celebration of life to be held at a later date.
