Linda Sue Grover, 73, of Centerville, Iowa passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023 at MercyOne Centerville surrounded by her loving family. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday March 4th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at The Forte banquet hall located at 615 3rd St. in downtown Des Moines, IA. A light luncheon & drinks will be provided, covered dishes are welcome. Linda was born on March 22, 1949 to James and Ruth (Dorhn) McCarl in Osceola, Iowa. She graduated from Saydel High School in 1967. Linda married Richard Grover Sr. on August 17th, 1968 and the couple resided in Des Moines, IA. Linda worked at EMC as a records clerk for 34 years before retiring in 2011. Linda's love for animals followed her throughout the years. From her horse, "Will's Last Chance", her beloved cats, "Little Man" & Missy, to her bond with Shirley & Bentley. Linda enjoyed being a Tae Kwon Do mom, and a member of various car clubs. Those left to cherish her loving memories are her husband Richard Grover Sr.; children Richard (Tina) Grover Jr. & Clifford Grover; grandchildren Chelsea Kunzler, Nicholas Anders & Isaiah Crider; siblings Donna (Rick) Michael & Danny McCarl; nieces and nephews Chris McCarl, Mike McCarl, Susan Michael & Andrew Michael She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Robert McCarl and Norman McCarl.
