Kevin Jay Musgrove, 66, of Ottumwa passed away at 12:33 p.m. on October 1, 2025, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Kevin was born July 13, 1959, in Moline, IL. to Theodore "Ted" and Geraldine Mae "Jeri" Scott Musgrove Sr. He was a 1977 graduate of Ottumwa High School. Kevin enjoyed listening to music, attending concerts, and teaching himself how to play the guitar. He was proud that he could play "some guitar". Kevin liked to play with his nieces and nephews, making them laugh with his playful behavior and silliness. Kevin enjoyed watching sports, playing a lot of pool, especially with his brother. His Dad also stated that Kevin was a "pretty good golfer". Kevin worked construction for his Uncle Bob Musgrove. He worked for 20 years at Universal Rundle, Ziegler's for 5 years as a machinist, Clow Valve for almost 10 years, then worked inside at Cargil Meat Solution and Park Trailer Wash. Surviving are his siblings; Ted (Dana) Musgrove Jr. of Ottumwa, Maddie (Ron) Cremer of Ankeny, Linda Hernandez of Muscatine, along with several nieces and nephews; Travis Melling, Tracey Melling, Justin (Signe) Cremer, Damon (Nichole) Lord, Teri (Jason) Carter, Regan (Ron) Klein, Nicole Reed, Kyle (Kristina) Tuller, Diana (Mike) Ingman, Tim (Misty) Kopp, Chelsea (Chris) Davis, and Chase Davis. Kevin was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Cindy Reed, nephew; Brian Tuller, and great niece Jacey Samuelson. A memorial service will not be held at this time.
