Judy was born on February 12, 1940, to Stanley and Edythe Severson. Judy's father passed away in December 1939, before her birth in February the following year. Judy graduated from Clarion High School in 1958. She worked for the Mason City Board of Realtors for 30 years and for the Iowa Association of Realtors for 9 years. At the time of her death, she was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Clive, Iowa. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, April 13, 2026, at 11:00 A.M., at Faith Lutheran Church, 10395 University Ave., Clive, Iowa 50325. A burial will take place in Clarion, Iowa, at a private memorial with just her children and grandchildren. Judy married Don Rumley in 1960; from this union, three children were born: Dawn, Larry, and Debra. Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Don, in 2018; her Mother and Father; brother, John; along with many aunts, uncles, and friends. Judy is survived by her children, Dawn (Steve) Hutton, Larry (Joellen) Rumley, and Debra (Brian) McCloy; 4 grandchildren, who she loved dearly, Jen (Dillon) Ptacek, Jack Rumley, and Kennedy and Madison McCloy. She is also survived by her beloved Whitman cousins, Don's cousins, and many friends, including her Mason City Ladies, Church Bible Study Ladies, Church Ladies, Faith Nursery Ladies, and good friends, Paula Greteman and Julie Parker.
