Howard L. Hodges passed away on December 2, 2021 at the Rehabilitation Center of Des Moines. Howard had just celebrated his 85th birthday. Howard married Marilyn Louise "Mary Lou" Penick on January 25, 1957 and of this union they had six sons. Howard made his living as a truck driver for many years and enjoyed traveling the country. Howard and Mary Lou raised their children in Des Moines and then moved to Winterset in their later years. Left to remember Howard are: his sons Leonard of Norwalk, Iowa; Sam (Jodi) of Des Moines, Iowa; David (Ruby) of Des Moines, Iowa; Mark (Tracy) of Murray, Iowa; and Robert (Michelle) of Des Moines, Iowa. His grandchildren and great grandchildren. Howard was preceded in by his wife Mary Lou; son Gregory; daughter-in-law Vicky Hodges; grandson Derek Hodges; and sisters Helen Wilson, Catherine Warren and Dolly Coulter. Howard's cremains will be interned along side Mary Lou on a future date at Berwick Cemetery, Berwick, Iowa.
