Haden James Allison, 33, of Cedar Rapids, IA, passed away on August 18, 2025. Born on February 12, 1992, Haden lived life with a vibrant spirit and a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He was passionate about sports— especially hockey—and found joy in nature through camping, fishing, hiking, and gardening. His curiosity often led him to hands-on projects, always tinkering on something! Animals held a special place in Haden's heart. His loyal dog, Theo, and his affectionate cat, Mabel, were more than pets—they were family. He lost his faithful companion of 15 years, Kinnick, a few years ago and Theo came in to fill that huge void. Haden's warmth and generosity touched many. He was known for his kind smile and willingness to help others, always ready to lend a hand or share a laugh. Time spent with family and friends on outdoor adventures created cherished memories that continue to bring comfort and joy. He is lovingly remembered by his father, Kent (Suzanne) Allison; his mother, Bethany Berger; his grandmother, Carol Schmalenberger; his sister, Hannah Allison; his step-sisters, Jessica Drake (Travis Brott) and Chelsea (Craig) Greer; five nephews; two nieces; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and friends. Theo and Mabel remain as living reminders of his gentle soul. Haden was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold "Gene" & Sandy Allison, and Rev. Dr. Jerry Schmalenberger.
