Gary L. Libenguth, 62, of Iowa City, Iowa passed away on June 13, 2023. He was born on August 31, 1960, in Iowa City, Iowa. Gary was a man of strong opinions, but he was also fiercely loyal and would do anything for those he loved. He had a great sense of humor, often laced with a bit of sarcasm, and enjoyed spending time with his friends. Gary is survived by spouse Ronnie Chalupa, his brother John Libenguth from Arizona, nephew Cooper, brother Scott Libenguth from Colorado, brother Greg Libenguth and wife Karen, niece Alexis. He was preceded in death by his parents Louis Libenguth and Betty Libenguth, and his children Kloe and Kirby. Gary enjoyed a cold beer on a hot summer night and he also had a passion for gardening and quilting. A celebration of life will be held on July 2, 2023, at the Kirkwood Room from 11-2 pm located at 515 Kirkwood Ave, Iowa City, IA 52240. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Kent Park, Oxford Iowa - Tree restoration and also Washington County Hospice, Washington Iowa. Gary will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him. Let's raise a glass and celebrate a life well lived.
