With heavy hearts, we mourn the unexpected passing of Donna Gene Richie-Doty on April 15th in Missouri Valley, Iowa, at the age of 65. Donna was born in Omaha, Nebraska, on May 18th, 1960. She lived most of her life in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and worked in the financial field. She was blessed with a lovely singing voice and had an abundance of creativity. She enjoyed the simple things of life, like coloring, enlightened by her step-granddaughter to enjoy. She had many heartbreaks in her life and felt her strong faith helped her endure. We find comfort in knowing that she's in her heavenly father's arms and care. She was preceded in death by her ex-husband Carl E Doty and her infant son Daniel S Doty, parents Donald E Richie and Leoureita B Glass. She leaves behind her son, David A Doty; brother David J Richie-Yelick; sisters Donnell L Shapland (Doug), Donnita R Richie-Johnson; and brother Leo O Glass (Ashley), and several nieces and nephews. A private family celebration of life will be arranged at a future date.
