Dixie E. Gavlock (MopMop),71,daughter of Ellis & Alice (Cox) Pitman was born September 29,1943 Pleasantville, IA. She passed away from her battle with cancer on September 27, 2015 at the Taylor House (Hospice) in Des Moines, IA . Born in 1943 in Pleasantville, IA, Dixie and her sibling Eden and Thomas grew up on a farm outside of Pleasantville. She married Greg Gavlock and moved to California until moving back to Iowa for their first grandchild. They enjoyed going camping ,fishing and being with the friends and family. She was preceded in death by her husband Greg Gavlock and grandbaby Samantha Greenwell. She is survived by her daughter Michele Greenwell and son-in-law Jon Greenwell, grandchildren Parker and Katie, sister Eden Thornley, and brother Thomas Pitman.
