Debby Sue Harlan, 72, of Des Moines passed away on December 20, 2021 at Methodist Medical Center. Debby was born May 3, 1949 in Indianola, IA to parents Lila-Lee (Kendall) and George Eldon Aubert. Debby had two siblings, an ornery and mischievous brother Mike (Sarah) Aubert of Indianola and a loving sister Polly (Larry) Pickering of West Des Moines. She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years Ted Harlan, four sons Ronald Clark of Lacona, Justin (Stephanie) Fehrer of Pleasantville, Jason (Jennifer) Fehrer of Chariton, Ted "Theo" (Valerie) Harlan of Waukee and two step children Lea-Ann Harlan and Sherry Harlan of Des Moines, 16 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two little dogs who are left to cherish her memory. Debby loved to cook, garden, sew, crochet, play cards and spend time with her family. Debby was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Ronald Emery Clark (KIA 1968 Vietnam) and her step son Clifford (Kim) Harlan of Norwalk. Debby's wishes were to be cremated and no services held.
