David "Dave" Lynn Jones, 66, of Norwalk, Iowa, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2025, at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. A celebration of life will be held on September 5, 2025, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Fireside Grill, 523 8th St SE, Altoona, IA. A private family burial will be held at a later date. Dave was born in Des Moines, Iowa, on August 20, 1959, to Richard and Donna (Hupke) Jones. He grew up in Altoona, where he attended Southeast Polk High School, graduating with the class of 1977. Following school, Dave began working at Cargill. He later took a job with Central Soya, which became ADM, where he was a logistics manager. He married the love of his life, Rhonda Gulling, in Runnells on October 2, 1982. They started their life in Mitchellville but recently moved to Norwalk after Dave got sick. Dave and his brother Daryl founded Jones Brother Taxidermy together in the 80's. In 2019, Dave retired from ADM after 32 years of service and dedication. Dave enjoyed spending time with his family. Especially coaching his daughters in softball and later his granddaughter. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, bird watching, camping, reading, and puzzles. In his younger years, he loved playing slow-pitch softball. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Rhonda Jones; daughters Allison (Travis) Muller and Megan (Chase) Kohler; grandchildren Hadley and Hazel Muller, and Landon and Kallie Kohler; siblings Doug Jones, Denise (Larry) Rogers, and Daryl (Rhonda) Jones; step siblings Deb (Craig) Roburg, Rick (Lindy) Fitch, and Scott(Connie) Fitch; and many nieces and nephews.
