Daniel Eriz

Daniel Eriz, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2026, while listening to the acoustic guitar. He was 73. He was born on January 15, 1953, in Fresno, California.

Daniel will be remembered as a man who found joy in the things that mattered most to him. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, and those moments with family were a cherished part of his life. He also enjoyed music, especially the band Yes, and music remained a meaningful comfort to him.

He is survived by his daughter, Raquel Fox, and by his son-in-law, Aron Fox. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren: Reuxnyn Reichert, Lenyx Reichert, Louella Reichert, Loqlyn Reichert, and Aliyah Fox. Daniel is also survived by his brothers Sam, Steve, and Joe Eriz. He is also survived by his former spouse Kathy Louderback. 

Daniel’s memory will live on in the love of his family, in the time they shared with him, and in the music that brought him peace. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
