Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christian Michael Delatorre II, better known as Chris or his music persona, Risen Mikey. Born on May 6, 1994, Christian was a beacon of light in every life he touched, leaving us all too soon on March 3, 2026. Christian spent his early years in the vibrant Bay Area of California, a place that left a lasting imprint on his soul and influenced his music. His spirit was as captivating as the lyrics he penned, and his talent was as vast as the Pacific Ocean that lined the city he loved. Christian was a man of many talents and passions, but nothing mattered more to him than his family. His loyalty was unmatched, and he was the rock that his loved ones leaned on. His talent was evident in his music and his ability to make people laugh, earning him the reputation of being a funny and genuine person. His love for baseball was only second to his love for music, and he could light up a room with his infectious laughter and quick wit. He was a man who understood the essence of life, perhaps best encapsulated by the quote, "The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well." In a testament to his giving nature, Christian's final act was one of selflessness and compassion; he donated his vessels, skin tissues, arteries, and valves to provide a second chance at life for others. His legacy of love and generosity will continue to live on through these gifts. Christian is survived by his mother, Rose Brown; his step-father, Mark; his siblings, Kayla (Logan) Taylor, Tim Stiles, and Kristina (Kimberly) Gardner; his uncle, Dustin Delatorre, and his significant other, Amanda Chapman. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Buddy and Edna Brown, and Dennis Delatorre and Ali Wrakes. As we remember Christian, we invite you to share your memories of him and upload photos to his memorial page. His life was a melody, a song of love, joy, and generosity. Let us keep his music alive in our hearts and minds. Let us remember Christian for the wonderful man he was - funny, talented, and loyal to a fault.
