Charles Chuck Edwin Moore II, 64, of Brooklyn and formerly of Montezuma, Iowa passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at the Brooklyn Community Estates Care Center. A celebration of life gathering will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at the barn at 2768 US HWY 65/69, Carlisle, Iowa, 50047 from 2:00 5:00 p.m. A graveside service at Des Moines Masonic Cemetery will be held at a later date.
Chuck was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on August 29, 1953 to J. Edgar and Elizabeth (Purinton) Moore. He grew up in Louisiana and following high school graduation he moved to Iowa. On November 28, 1981 he married Jaquiline Sue Mondabough in Des Moines, Iowa. The couple resided in Norwalk where they raised their family. Chuck worked various sales jobs over the years and retired from Vizion Inc. He had a great love for his family, gadgets, technology most especially computers, remote control helicopters, taking pictures, boating, and spending time at the lake.
Chuck is survived by his step-children Kayl (Todd) Armstrong of Milo, IA, Thomas (Chuck Cozad) Taylor of Grimes, IA, and James (Carisa) Taylor of Menifee, CA; grandchildren Mariah, Matthew, Dillon, Amanda, Justin, Deven, and Natalie; and great-grandchild Braelynn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife.
