Bev Miller, 60, of Indianola, Iowa, went home to be with her Lord, Friday Aug. 12, 2022. Bev was born August 17, 1961, in Des Moines, to Paul Major and Sharon McKinney. She grew up with her sisters Cheryl, Debbie and brother Rob. Bev graduated from Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa and worked for many years in social work. Bev was a very proud mother to her children, Heather, Jesse, Rocky, Mindy, Critter and Zack. She really enjoyed cheering her kids on at events and continued to encourage them as they grew into adults. Bev was also overjoyed with each of her 14 grandchildren. She loved spending quality time and talking to them. She also enjoyed many trips throughout her life to the ocean in California, Florida and North Carolina with family. Bev is survived by her children Heather (Josh) Grabovskis Swanson of Pleasantville, Iowa and their children Ashley, Micaela, Krishyon, Magellan, Ellieanah, Leonidas and Nanyehi; Rocky Miller and his daughter Jocelyn of Indianola, Iowa; Mindy (Jason) Dammen and their children Emma, Carter, Sage, Luke and Abe of Glenwood, Iowa; Critter Miller and his daughter Madilynn of Indianola, Iowa; Zach Miller of Ackworth, Iowa; mother, Sharon McKinney of Indianola, Iowa; sister, Debbie (John) Buckman of Henryville, Indiana; sister, Cheryl (Larry) Phelps of Temecula, California; and MANY nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Jesse; father, Paul Major; brother, Robert Major; and maternal and paternal grandparents. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
